LA based singer-songwriter Chelsea Lankes returns with her latest dreamy release “Paralyzed.” Beginning with hushed piano, misty synths, and samples of seaside birds, the track eases in as Lankes opens up about a burgeoning love, revealing their intimate moments as she sings “sitting so close, your leg touches mine, the way you hold back, I can tell it’s a sign, a sign / when we stayed up til 5 and stared at the ceiling, laughed about nothing, I could tell it was real, was real.” And after reassuring her beau on the sensual chorus (“Maybe it works out, and maybe it doesn’t , maybe quit thinking and start do something”), it’s the first-kiss of a bridge that spins the intimate track into the indie pop stratosphere, as Lankes leaves listeners transfixed once again by her alluring auteur-meets-pop star prowess. "Paralyzed" is off Chelsea's self-titled EP, available April 8th via B3SCI Records. Be sure to catch Chelsea Live in Los Angeles on April 18th at The Satellite supporting Transviolet.
