KYM ELLERY Hailing from Perth, Western Australia, Ellery was born into a creative household. She grew up surrounded by the Art of her Mother; a New Zealander who worked in Textiles, Print Making and Ceramics. After completing a certificate of Fashion Design in Perth, Ellery made her way over to London to attend highly acclaimed fashion school, Central St. Martins. It was here that she completed summer school studying Fashion Illustration and Sketchbook Building, developing the invaluable design skills she now possesses. Previously working for over 4 years at Russh magazine as a crucial part of the creative team, Kym watched the magazine rapidly develop into one of the most cutting edge and renowned fashion titles in Australia. / FR / « Le CENTQUATRE prolonge la rétrospective consacrée à Keith Haring (1958-1990) du musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris en présentant les oeuvres grand format de l'artiste, notamment l'une de ses plus importantes, Les Dix Commandements, créée en 1985. Cette pièce monumentale composée de dix panneaux de sept mètres de haut, inspirée de la Bible et réinterprétée par le créateur : dix commandements revisités à coup d'aplats rouges, de signes du diable et de l'enfer, de dollars et de têtes de serpent… Si le public connaît le style incomparable de Keith Haring et ses signes emblématiques, rares sont ceux qui ont pu apprécier l'étendue de son oeuvre : dessins réalisés dans le métro new-yorkais, peintures, sculptures… Cette exposition présentée dans les deux lieux parisiens permet d'appréhender son art sur les plans historique et politique.
