/ FR / "L'Etoile Lilas est conçu comme un cinéma de ville (par opposition au multiplexe de centre commercial en périphérie) : il est vertical, en relation physique et visuelle avec son environnement, dresse quatre façades le long des trois voies et du parvis qui l'entourent, et détermine un lieu géographique caractérisé par une architecture non standard. Afin de maximiser les liens entre l'espace public et le bâtiment, nous avons choisi de scinder le bâtiment en deux volumes (cinéma et commerces) : - au nord, un volume haut et compact dans la continuité des gabarits élevés de l'avenue de la porte des Lilas - au sud, un volume plus bas qui dégage la perspective depuis la rue du Docteur Gley et qui s'articule avec les hauteurs plus faibles de l'emmarchement et du pavillon du cirque.
