Discover the "Hotel Rural Agroturismo" in Paderne_Melgaço, Northest Portugal, by Correia Ragazzi Architecture studio. A old house in ruins, a farmland, a vineyard surrounded by a pine forest and transformed in a new space dedicated to the discovery and promotion of the "Alvarinho" wine region. The clients (wine producers), wanted to rehab and expand the property and install an Agro-Tourism Hotel & enterprise including a wine cellar with a testing area and a place to stay for the clients who wanted to discover the region. The building is characterized by its architecture: the traditional stone architecture of the region, maintaining the original lines of the existing body, and on the other hand, with the construction of a new body/volume based on a modern architecture with an innovative and contemporary identity and framed in a natural and genuine landscape. The new rural hotel is located in an area divided into two bodies (the old house rehabilitated and the new contemporary volume), reaching a gross area of 670 m2, spread over large spaces and having a total of 5 rooms.
