New Jersey native Donna Missal first electrified the blogosphere with her debut single "Keep Lying" that showcased her enrapturing and passionately raw vocals. Donna quickly followed up this thunderous debut with the more jazz inclined track "The Keeper" and the intricate, smoking cut "Slide." Musically she fits somewhere between the smoky pop softness of Lana Del Rey and the soulful strength of Amy Winehouse with an extra added grittiness that can only be described as Donna.
Over the last year, Donna has taken time away from her solo effort to travel across the country to work with LA based producer Tim Anderson (Solange, Banks, Halsey) refining her sound. While in LA, Donna also picked up a collaboration with Macklemore on the single "Over It," featured on his recently released "GEMINI" album. Today Donna shifts her gaze back to her own music with the release of "Transformer." The husky sultryness of her voice, bombastic rock leaning instrumentation, and an anthemic chorus all come together to make the track one you'll not forget easily, and proves that Donna continues to be an artist to watch.
