"We are a young team with an old soul and our mission is to deliver an endless experience of the 40's, 50's and 60's". Essential Home gets its inspiration from anywhere, retro ads that defined a generation, classic and iconic movie stars and heartbreakers from the 60’s, for example. Their products are a true combination of colours, matter and design, with a real "savoir faire" and a luxury touch. They intend to create time travels through a strong evocative connotation of the stunning era between the 30’s and 60’s. They want to create a sort of union between the past and present, delivering the perfect combination of contemporary and modern pieces. Discover below a combination of pieces that really inspired us, and of course full of references from the past ( L'art deco period, Jean Prouvé, Jacobsen, .... ). + http://essentialhome.eu
Wilde is a beautifully designed vanity wall mirror. It features three panels and an irregular shape with a golden strap of plated brass that evokes a mid-century modern style while adding a hint of refinement to any interior. It can be hanged above a sideboard or a console and still give that retro look to your bedroom or living room.
Brubeck wall light (by DelightFull) . Luxury and art deco are synonym with this Brubeck wall sconce lighting design. Inspired by the timeless musical instrument that is the pipe organ and one of the foremost exponents of jazz, Dave Brubeck, this luxurious wall sconce is a statement piece on its own. With 13 pounds, Brubeck is composed by a series of handmade brass tubes that are all welded together by hand. For a finishing touch, it boasts a very art deco gold-plated finish. Only 4 G9 bulbs are needed for this modern wall sconce to light up your home, making it the perfect candidate for a maximalist dining room, or even an entryway decor project.
Monocles is a sideboard built entirely out of solid walnut wood, accented by its gold plated brass front doors that feature a protruding circular design. These circles are then engraved to the back and side of the unit, giving it an extreme character and high end look. It is a perfect furniture piece for retro lovers or mid-century admirers, giving the knurling knobs on the drawers or the tapered legs.
Hudson Armchair is probably one of our most classic design pieces. It tends to be sober thanks to its casual design, but it really stands out because of its leather upholstery. The body structure is produced in solid walnut wood with metal shoes on its legs, made of polished brass. It has a little degree reclining, perfect for a zen moment in your living room.
Jacobsen is a side table of intrinsic harmony, and almost resembles Arne’s own design. The product of a clean design approach, this side table features two tubes of marble – Carrara and Nero Marquina, that were welded together to set a contrast that challenges the eye. It is reversible and finished with a polished brass top.
