NYC DUO GLASSIO RETURNS WITH EFFERVESCENTLY COOL SINGLE "DAYDREAM" FEATURING NAKAYA

Glassio is an indie-pop duo based in New York City. Their sound - described by XLR8R as "effervescent and colorful" - combines lush vocal harmonies and electronic arrangements, blending influences from Pop, House, R&B and New Wave. Made up of two internationally-raised songwriters Sam R. (Dubai/London) and Charles Pinel (Paris), the duo began writing together after a late-night homework project for an NYU music production class. As local writers and producers in New York, they collaborated and released music with a wide range of local acts such as Birocratic, Maggie Rogers, Take A Daytrip, and Charles Fauna under multiple different pseudonyms before debuting their first single as Glassio - “Try Much Harder.” Since then, the pair have released several singles that have found acclaim on Spotify with prominence on various Viral Charts and inclusions on several Spotify Playlists -- as well as scoring a number of syncs for Hulu, MTV & Bravo. They have spent the better half of 2017 playing sold out shows with acts like Overcoats, Yelle, Valis Alps, Fenech-Soler & Manatee Commune.

Their latest single “Daydream” features up and coming R&B/Pop singer-songwriter NAKAYA, and is a production that marries their love for the sound of early 2000s LA-based Hip/Hop & R&B, with the orchestral-electronic undertones of groups like Massive Attack, and Air. “We were imagining Dre and AIR making a record together,” the duo explains. “‘Daydream’ is a personal ode to the times we’re living in - or for some - the times we’re fast asleep to.” Press play and enjoy just below!
