Queenstown X-House by Monk Mackenzie Architects winner of the House - Future Projects category at WAF 2017 (World Architecture Festival). MMA was asked to design a six bedroom house for a client to live in through the year. The house is designed to sit securely in the landscape, while at the same time bridging across a seasonal flood zone.

THE ARCHITECTS / Partners Hamish Monk and Dean Mackenzie met while working with Skidmore Owings & Merrill (SOM) in New York and London and have worked with architectural firms including the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) along with considerable local experience.
