COPENHAGEN BASED 'SHERPA' MARK THEIR BOLD RETURN WITH THE IMPASSIONED, NOSTALGIC SINGLE 'YOUNG LOVE'

Following the debut EP 'Heartless', Danish act Sherpa AKA Carsten Eliasen - marks his bold return with the nostalgic, synth-pop single 'Young Love'. Reflecting on first loves, relationships and breakups, Sherpa's latest cut of progressive pop is a heady reminder of the halcyon days, where everything was new and moments felt everlasting. Carsten's urgent vocals soar above the beautiful synth arrangement, a sound that wouldn't be out of place amongst Robyn's earlier catalogue. The longing message, "let it happen, let it happen, let it all rain down again," reminds the listener that despite all the pain that love can carry, you would do everything all over again.

“Young love is about that naive and all consuming first love that you can only experience once in a lifetime. So for this song we had to go back to our teenage selves and remember just how insane love made us feel at that time" explains Eliasen.

Sherpa is an erratic and dynamic entity, pushing against the boundaries of genre restrictions. His debut single 'Fornever' was Track Of The Day on Clash, who described the single as "wonderfully absorbing" upon its release in 2017. Since then, Sherpa has received a host of local support from Danish national radio P6 Beat and P3, as well as performing a national headline tour and playing Smukfest - Denmark's second biggest festival. 'Young Love' marks the start of another chapter in Sherpa's beguiling journey and is a fine example of his ever evolving sound. Press play and enjoy the track just below. Stay tuned ...
