"Noisey has been championing Chela for a over a year so we're super stoked to premiere the Aussie-Filo singer's self-directed video, "Handful of Gold". The song itself is classic Chela—bright and infectious and super synth-pop, meanwhile the video is knowingly attitudinal and perfectly random. Mostly it revolves around Chela's trademark loose-limbed choreography and the ability of her friends (and the man behind the counter) to nod aggressively to the beat. Basically it's a throwdown in a local late-night, post-party, fuck-I'm-drunk-and-hungry hangspot. The kind of place that has fried food, a jukebox, arcade games, and an owner who will let you dance on the tables. (There's also a sideline story involving Chela in bed, lip-syncing in her silk robe, looking absolutely terrified.) Bravo to the dude in the drop crotch onsie with the top knot and gold chain. Go practice Chela's moves today." + via
