Inner Ear proudly announces the release of the long awaited sophomore album of Electric Litany, entitled "Enduring Days You Will Overcome". Four years after their debut album "How to Be a Child and Win the War", London-based 4-piece band return with a unique album that was definitely worth waiting for.
"Enduring Days You Will Overcome" is the fruit of a difficult and stagnant era. However, confirming every word of its title, it’s proof that the conscious perseverance of creation is the solution to overcome the problems and move forward. The album rises from the ashes of a lo-fi world, maintaining the lyricism and the characteristic "haunting" atmosphere of Electric Litany. Drawing inspiration from Beat poetry, new wave, Byzantine music and solid guitars that form a feeling of dark romanticism. Melancholic odes to the perseverance of the human spirit in face of tragedy.
In 2012 the band contacted legendary producer Alan Parsons who, after hearing "How to Be a Child and Win the War" agreed to collaborate with the band. The recordings were an adventure "hosted" in several London based studios as well as a studio in the Welsh countryside and the island of Corfu. //Η Inner Ear με χαρά ανακοινώνει την κυκλοφορία του δεύτερου πολυαναμενόμενου album των Electric Litany, με τίτλο “Enduring Days You Will Overcome”. Τέσσερα χρόνια μετά το ντεμπούτο τους “How To Be A Child And Win The War”, οι Electric Litany επιστρέφουν με ένα μοναδικό album που σίγουρα άξιζε την αναμονή. Το “Enduring Days You Will Overcome” είναι καρπός μιας δύσκολης και στάσιμης εποχής. Παρόλα αυτά, επιβεβαιώνοντας κάθε λέξη του τίτλου του, είναι η απόδειξη πως η συνειδητή καρτερικότητα της δημιουργίας είναι η λύση για να ξεπεραστούν τα προβλήματα και να προχωρήσουμε παρακάτω. Το album ξεπηδάει από τις στάχτες ενός lo-fi κόσμου και διατηρώντας τον λυρισμό και τη χαρακτηριστική «στοιχειωμένη» ατμόσφαιρα των Electric Litany εκφράζει τον έρωτα, την αφοσίωση και την υπομονή που οδηγούν στην ομορφιά, τη δημιουργία και την απελευθέρωση. Ταυτόχρονα καταγράφει τις πρακτικές δυσκολίες και τα καθημερινά προβλήματα διαβίωσης και επιβίωσης όπως τα έζησε το συγκρότημα τα τελευταία 3,5 χρόνια μέχρι την ολοκλήρωση των ηχογραφήσεων αυτού του album. To 2012 το συγκρότημα ήρθε σε επαφή με τον μυθικό παραγωγό Alan Parsons, ο οποίος αφού άκουσε το “How To Be A Child And Win The War” συμφώνησε να συνεργαστεί μαζί τους. Οι ηχογραφήσεις ήταν περιπετειώδεις και «φιλοξενήθηκαν» σε διάφορα studio στο Λονδίνο, σε ένα studio στην ύπαιθρο της Βόρειας Ουαλίας και στο στούντιο των Κόρε.Ύδρο. στην Κέρκυρα. Το mastering για άλλη μια φορά έγινε στα Abbey Road Studios. Το “Enduring Days You Will Overcome” κυκλοφορεί σε βινύλιο, special edition cd και digital album από την Inner Ear.
