"Ximon is from Hong Kong but now lives in New York, where he studied menswear at Parsons. His collection of layered fabrics and exaggerated shapes was inspired by the documentary “Children of Leningradsky”. Ximon is now concentrating on launching his own menswear label." He wins H&M design award 2015.
He was shortlisted for this prize as 8 other designers : Magdalena Brozda, Andreas Eklof, Graham Fan, Andrea Jiapei Li, James Kelly, Leonard Kocic, Ximon Lee and finally Fiona 0'Neill. The final jury was composed by Luella Bartley ( Design Director of Marc by Marc Jacobs), Lily Allen ( Singer/Songwriter), Ann-Sofie Johansson ( Head of Design, New Development, H&M), Margareta van den Bosch ( Creative Advisor, H&M), Angelo Flaccavento (Freelance Fashion Critic), Justin O’Shea (Buying Director for Mytheresa.com), Lucinda Chambers (Fashion Director of British Vogue), Paula Goldstein di Principe (Creative Director) and Tommy Ton (Visual Journalist).
