Meet Yoste, a 22-year-old singer / songwriter / producer of the bedroom variety hailing from Brisbane, Australia making songs to stargaze to. Yoste (aka Kurt Sines) first made a splash in 2016 with his debut single "Chihiro," captivating listeners with its ambient breeze and translating into over 15 million Spotify streams to date.
Yoste steps confidently into 2018 with his new single “Arc” via Akira Records, with an EP expected later this year. The track's quiet yet compelling minimalism displays hushed intensity, with Yoste's yearnful vocals giving more depth and layers of emotion to the record. The track is mixed by Australian up and coming producer and mix engineer Tristan Hoogland who has worked with acts such as Golden Vessel, Paul Dempsey, Ball Park Music and many more.
Kurt says it followed a laborious few months of creative frustration. “The road to 'Arc' is littered with almost-good-enough ideas,” he says. “I was like a blocked stream and suddenly I had to get it all out at once. It was tortuous but the result was cathartic, and resulted in 'Arc' coming together over the course of just one day.”
